2nd Round of Renaissance

Hi Lower School!

Thank you to all who attended our TERC Investigation’s Math Night on Tuesday. I really enjoyed presenting and was excited to engage in conversation about our K-4 math program. Special thanks to Jennifer Gould for explaining the variety of opportunities that await our kids in upper school, and her excitement for the great foundational learning that is happening in lower school. If you’d like to see the presentation, and find further information on NCTM Standards and Standards for Mathematical Practice, click here.

Our second round of Renaissance Testing will take place between December 2nd – December 13th. This will give teachers and students an opportunity to measure growth, and set academic goals for the next trimester.

On Monday, during all school chapel, our students will be presenting food donations and discussing the things they are most grateful for. It’s a beautiful, thoughtful chapel that provides an opportunity for our school to come together and focus on the things that matter most in life. Thank you for all you have done to support our food drive this month. I’m so proud to be part of a school that teaches students about the importance of giving back, and helping those in need.

Next week is a short week! School will be in session Monday and Tuesday, and then we will be off Wednesday – Friday for Thanksgiving Break.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Warm regards,
Ms. Hart
Lower School Director
